Thanks to the different concert formats on offer to young listeners from 4 years old and to those who accompany them, you can share a musical moment with your family.
In each musical tale and symphonic concert, young and old alike are taken on a journey of discovery of musical stories, images and melodies.

Musical Tales
For 4-6 years
At the Philharmonie de Paris and in various Parisian arrondissement town halls, children are offered 45-minute concerts, often together with a narrator, by chamber groups of musicians of the Orchestre de Paris.
They tell them familiar stories, mingled with musical excerpts and illustrations while the children help punctuate the narrative with songs and nursery rhymes. A fun and informal musical moment for all!
For each programme, we provide resources to prepare your children for the concert: lyrics to the nursery rhymes or accessories to cut out. You will find them on the Resources page of the web-site a few weeks before the concert.

Concerts for Young People
From 6 years old
Created specifically for young audiences and lasting an hour, these symphonic concerts will allow children and their parents to share a special moment in the Main concert hall of the Philharmonie de Paris.
The great works of the classical music repertoire become accessible to everyone as they are presented in an original way by an actor or accompanied by images projected on screen.
Preparatory workshops also allow you to familiarise yourself with the works featured in the concert.

Thanks to the preparation workshops, you will be able to experience music in diverse forms: movement, body percussion, singing, everything to make the music you will hear at the family concert even more alive!
String workshops
Introduce your children to the violin before the concert! Two musicians from the orchestra will guide them in their discovery of the instrument and their first steps as a musician.

Meet the musicians and discover their instruments
At the end of the family concerts in the Main concert hall come and interact with the orchestra musicians. They will have answers to all your questions about playing and how their instruments work.
