The Orchestre de Paris is a brand name which is particularly well recognised during its numerous tours abroad. The orchestra has also distinguished itself by its ambitious project of sharing and teaching, and through the musicians' involvement in numerous cultural and educational activities for all audiences, as well as by a policy of acquiring prestigious instruments, which contribute to the Orchestra's positioning at the centre of excellence.
The symphonic season of the Orchestra and its chorus
120 concerts a year in France and abroad for 190,000 spectators: the Orchestre de Paris’ season stands out for its richness and diversity, offering the best of symphonic music every year. A number of renowned conductors, both men and women, succeed one another at the head of the formation in the company of the best international soloists to perpetuate the musical excellence of the Orchestre de Paris. The orchestra relies on 120 permanent musicians of high quality and an instrumental repertoire that must be regularly renewed to maintain the high level of musical standards.
Alongside the Orchestra or within the framework of its own productions, the exclusively amateur chorus of the Orchestre de Paris enhances the programme. It embodies the Orchestra's values of sharing and openness while maintaining a strong territorial anchoring.

Tours, digital projects
The Orchestre de Paris has established itself as a true ambassador of French culture with an international reputation, regularly invited to perform in the world's best concert halls as part of large-scale tours. It is part of a vast international network of cultural institutions, reinforced by its integration within the Philharmonie de Paris. The orchestra’s brand image is also characterised by its ability to propose innovative projects, such as the educational website Monsieur-Onde.com, which invites the discovery of symphonic music through emotions, in a logic of cultural democratisation.
A policy of acquiring prestigious instruments
The “Cercle” supports the renewal of the Orchestre de Paris' instrument park through the acquisition of prestigious old instruments, necessary to maintain the musicians' artistic level and contribute to the Orchestra's positioning at the centre of excellence.
In 2019, the “Cercle” made possible the purchase of a prestigious Joseph Nadotti 5-string double bass made in 1770. Seven exceptional double basses have yet to be acquired.

Cultural democratisation and teaching
Beyond the stage, the musicians of the Orchestre de Paris are committed to bringing symphonic music to all audiences, from the youngest (educational concerts, family concerts, musical stories...) to those who are deprived of culture (musical visits to hospitals for sick children, activities for the disabled).
